LightForce is seeking an entrepreneurial-minded individual to support HR functions. This position will have a broad range of exposure and would be ideal for a candidate looking to dive into all aspects of HR, which may help them find their specific HR passion (recruiting, benefits admin, etc.). This Co-Op would work in a small team (2-3 people) so they should be able to value guidance, but work well autonomously. This individual would report to the HR Generalist.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in a variety of Human Resource general duties, such as onboarding, offboarding, HRIS processing and reporting, compensation benchmarking, and provide overall HR support to employees
  • Plan, schedule, and manage a calendar of engaging events and activities
  • Process employee changes for the US: benefits, promotions, leave, etc.
  • Assist in the implementation and management of a rewards and recognition program
  • Contribute to the improvement and rollout of a new employee handbook
  • Exposure to full-cycle recruitment practices
  • Work on other HR projects/initiatives as needed


  • Must be currently pursuing an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or a post-graduate degree majoring in management, business-related field, or human resources

Required Qualifications

  • Computer proficiency is required (Google Workplace)
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Detail-oriented, responsive, and able to meet deadlines
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times and exhibit good judgment

Preferred Qualifications

  • HRIS experience is preferred
  • Organizational behavior class/experience is preferred
  • Ability to hit the ground running - a confident self-starter
