AI/ML Software Co-Op

Description

LightForce Orthodontics is seeking someone who is passionate about building software products that make a difference to customers. We want a smart, self-motivated individual that enjoys working in a small agile team environment and can assist research, build and deliver innovative software solutions in the field of AI/ML. Our ideal candidate is studying computer science, data science, software engineering or equivalent, and has experience in neural networks, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • You will remotely assist a small research team
  • You will collaborate on research, implementation, testing, and/or delivery of software solutions related to AI/ML
  • Be able to work independently, self-learn, and troubleshoot issues

Qualification

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Pursuing a BS/MS in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field
  • Academic background in AI/ML (at least completed two AI/ML-related courses)
  • Experience in participating in at least one AI/ML project in Deep Learning (in academic or corporate settings)
  • Strong programming skill in Python
  • Experience in using ML frameworks (PyTorch or Tensorflow/Keras)
  • Experience in Cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Experience in Graph Neural Network, PointNet, PointNet++, PointCNN or Edge Convolution is a plus
  • Experience in 3D computer graphics is a plus
  • Experience in setting up ETL pipeline on cloud is a plus
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment a plus
