Product Designer


Currently our headquarters is in Cambridge, MA and by the end of Q1 2021, we will be moving to Burlington, MA for a large expansion to support our rapid growth.


At LightForce Orthodontics we use advanced manufacturing technologies and proprietary CAD software to create the world’s best orthodontic treatment experience. We create 100% patient-matched orthodontic ceramic brackets designed from digital impressions with the goal of reducing treatment duration for patients and chair-time for clinicians.


LightForce Orthodontics, the world’s only provider of patient specific, 3D printed orthodontic braces is looking for our first Product Designer.

As a Product Designer at LightForce, you will use your design skills to translate the product vision into a beautiful and seamless product experience for our customers. You will take design projects from start to finish, collaborating with product managers and engineers to deliver the best product experience to our customers. As the first product designer, you have the opportunity to define the user experience, design systems, and processes we use to deliver world class solutions that will impact people’s smiles for generations to come.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design workflows, prototypes, and pixel-perfect designs to support product initiatives
  • Take designs from from concept to implementation by working closely with engineers and product managers
  • Perform interviews with customers and stakeholders to deeply understand their needs and validate your designs
  • Establish design systems and guidelines to ensure a consistent user experience throughout the customer journey

Education and Experience

  • 2-3 years of product design experience working with engineers and product managers


  • An excellent portfolio demonstrating the business impact of your work
  • Proven ability to build elegant solutions for complex problems
  • Excellent communication skills
